If you’re protesting abortion, the Supreme Court says you can get right in women’s faces and scream at them on their way into the clinic. Because freedom of speech.
But if you try and protest the murder of a black man, you get tear gas fired at you.
Invisible Statues by Rob Mulholland
Scottish sculptor has created a ghostly art installation in the woodland walk at the David Marshall Lodge in Scotland titled Vestige. Originally intended to be temporary, the six mirrored life-size silhouettes (three men and three women) have been so popular that they are now to become a permanent fixture in the previously inhabited woodlands. Mulholland’s idea behind the installation seems twofold: to create a vestige of the people who once occupied the land until following World War I, when they were re-located while forests were planted to generate timber and; to make people ‘reflect’ upon man’s impact on the nature. The almost imperceptible sculptures camouflaged by their surroundings have an eerie quality that has been compared by many to the predator in the 1980s film of the same name that seamlessly blends into its surrounding
headcanon that Pietro legitimately isn’t sure when he’s talking too fast or normal speed so if someone says “what?” he just assumes that he was talking too fast and forces himself to slow the hell down and he’s not being condescending or sarcastic he just legitimately isn’t sure.
This is totally 100% likely, because look:
So that is definitely something that happens. Weeeeeeeeeeee!
I see your panel and one up it with:
It is 100% canon that Pietro experiences himself as normal speed no matter how fast he goes, and everything else as really slow. Also, I choose to interpret that little head pause before he looks forward again as him just double checking he was slow enough.
Are we so uncomfortable with love between two people of the same gender that we immediately label it as sexual?
You can’t pick and choose what parts of feminism you want. You can’t support your queer sisters but not your trans sisters. You can’t support your fat sisters but not your sisters of colour. Being a feminist means creating a positive and equal space for women. The second you start excluding women based on which characteristics you do or do not find appealing you have defeated the whole point of being a feminist.
Former Marine turned photographer Joel Parés’ series Judging America used real people dressed as stereotypes to remind us to not judge a person based on their tattoos, clothing, ethnicity, profession, or sexual orientation, but on their merits.
